Some days that room is a college classroom in Shreveport. Some days it is a police training room. Some days it is a conference table full of managers who do not want to be there.
The setting changes. The work does not.
I show up prepared, I tell the truth, and I give people something real they can use to make their work life better.
Twenty years ago I started what is now TSC Training and Development because most of the training I sat through wasted people's time. Since then I have designed training for 65+ organizations across education, government, nonprofits, and corporate teams.
Through Police360 I built the VNRT procedural justice framework and delivered 900+ hours of training to officers, prosecutors, and probation professionals. Chiefs, marshals, district attorneys, and judges have sat in those rooms and asked me back.
By day I teach the next generation of teachers at Southern University at Shreveport, where I chair the Education Department. I hold a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Louisiana Tech.
I also serve as an Ordained Deacon at Mount Canaan Baptist Church. My faith is why I work the way I work. Honest. Compassionate. Respectful of everyone in the room.

Dr. Michael Hicks builds people for a living.
For twenty years, he has designed training that works, led rooms that needed real leadership development, and created frameworks used by educators, corporate teams, government agencies, and law enforcement.
He chairs the Education Department at Southern University at Shreveport, holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Louisiana Tech University, and is a Louisiana Board of Regents Meauxmentum Scholar.
